Professional Advantage registration service has encountered an invalid security key

Symptoms

Logged in Microsoft Dynamics GP®, after attempting to register Collections Management as “SA” in the Collections Management Installation and Registration Window, you received the following error message:

Professional Advantage registration service has encountered an invalid security key.

Reason(s)

The following are the possible reasons why this error populated:

1. The Registration key is invalid or the registration key was entered without a valid expiration date.
2. A SQL Maintenance needs to be performed on the Collections Management Registration Window.

Resolution

1. The Registration key is invalid or the registration key was entered without a valid expiration date.

To resolve this issue, please Log in GP as “SA” and click on the “Get Registration Info” Button of the Collections Installation and Registration Window (Sales pane —> Utilities —> Collection Installation and Registration—> Get Registration Info).

Alternatively, your Valid Registration key and expiration date can be retrieved by accessing the registration portal linked below:

Click Here —>      Retrieve My Collections Management Registration key and Expiration Date   

2. A SQL Maintenance needs to be performed on the Collections Management Registration Window.

If the registration key and the expiration date are valid, however the error persists, please proceed as follow:

2.1 Logged in GP as “sa” Navigate to Dynamics GP —> Maintenance —> SQL —> and select the following options:

1. Database —> Dynamics,
2. Product —> Collections Management
3. Collections Registration under name
4. Mark all boxes to the right

Click Process:

2.2 Once the above process is completed, please navigate to Microsoft Dynamics GP —> Tools —> Utilities —> Sales —> Collections Installation and Registration and enter your registration key and expiration date by clicking on the Get Registration Info Button or retrieving them from  the registration portal linked below:
